In the Quran, there are 14 places where Sajdah (prostration) is recommended or mentioned as a sign of reverence and submission to Allah. These are known as Ayat as-Sajdah (Verses of Prostration). The 14 Ayat as-Sajdah are found in the following chapters (surahs) of the Quran:

  1. Surah Al-A’raf (Chapter 7), Verse 206
  2. Surah Ar-Rad (Chapter 13), Verse 15
  3. Surah An-Nahl (Chapter 16), Verse 49
  4. Surah Al-Isra’ (Chapter 17), Verse 107
  5. Surah Maryam (Chapter 19), Verse 58
  6. Surah Al-Hajj (Chapter 22), Verse 18
  7. Surah Al-Furqan (Chapter 25), Verse 60
  8. Surah An-Naml (Chapter 27), Verse 26

When reciting or reading these verses during the recitation of the Quran, it is recommended for Muslims to perform a prostration of reverence, known as Sajdah, as an expression of devotion and humility to Allah. It is important to note that Sajdah is not performed after every verse of the Quran, but specifically at the designated Ayat as-Sajdah.
