Conscious nations never forget the services of their benefactors but always remember them.
Chaudhry Rehmat Ali, the founder of Tehreek-e-Pakistan (Pakistan National Movement from England in 1933) and the one who suggested the name of Pakistan, is a real hero and benefactor of Pakistan.
He first proposed in 1915 at the inaugural meeting of Bazm Shibli at Islamia College Lahore that the northern parts of India be transformed into a Muslim state.
Chaudhry Rehmat Ali was born on November 16, 1897, in the village of Moharan in the Hoshiarpur district of East Punjab, to Haji Shah Gujjar, a middle-class landowner. In 1914 he came to Lahore for further studies and entered Islamia College Lahore.
