The concept of “Usher” (Zakat in Arabic) is mentioned 4 times in the Quran. It is an obligation for Muslims to give a portion of their wealth to those in need.
There are many verses in the Quran that mention the importance of giving Usher, but the exact number of verses (ayat) that explicitly mention the word “Zakat” is 32. These verses describe the importance and benefits of giving Zakat, who is eligible to receive it, and how it should be given.
It is worth noting that the concept of giving to the poor and needy is not limited to Zakat, as there are other forms of charity (Sadaqah) that are also highly emphasized in Islam.
