What are Tropical and Subtropical Regions ?Everything we see in our immediate surroundings is our environment, and humans have been interacting with it since they first walked on the earth. They are reliant on the environment for food and water, and they modify it to meet their own needs, thereby affecting the environment. On the other hand, the environment affects them, forcing them to change their ways, such as how humans dress, which is heavily influenced by the weather.

There are two other important latitudes: the tropic of cancer at 23.5 degrees north and the tropic of Capricorn at 23.5 degrees south; the region between these tropics is known as the tropical region; the region that is about 5 to 10 degrees above and below the tropic of cancer and above and below the tropic of Capricorn is known as the subtropical region; and the region that is about 5 to 10 degrees above and below the tropic of cancer and above and below the tropic of Capricorn The northern part of India, parts of South America, and parts of northern Australia are all located in the subtropical region of the world.
Now, if we go near the equator, the region between 5 and 10 degrees near the equator is known as the equatorial region. Because the sun’s rays fall directly at the equator in a straight line and are slightly slanted at the poles, the equatorial regions experience a high amount of direct sunlight at the surface, which results in large-scale evaporation. This continuous evaporation is the reason why it rains
Because it rains so often in this area, you’ll discover thick forests. These forests have grown so thick that the leaves and branches function as a roof, preventing most sunlight from reaching the ground. As a result, the ground is almost always in darkness, thus only shade-tolerant plants can thrive here.
As we all know, continuous evaporation causes high humidity in the air, which can make you feel downright uncomfortable muggy and sticky.
Now let us look at some of the regions that fall near the equator, including parts of Indonesia, parts of Central Africa near the Congo River, parts of Western Africa near the Niger River, and the Amazon Forest, which all fall in the equatorial region.
