The United Nations (UN) is an international organisation whose mission is to promote world peace, foster cordial relations among nations, foster global governance, and serve as a focal point for nations’ actions to be harmonized. On June 26, 1945, the United Nations Charter was signed. On October 24, 1945, the Charter came into effect.
It is the world’s largest, most well-known, most powerful, and most representative international organization.
UNO’s motto is “It’s your world!” The Organization’s membership has increased to 193 countries since its founding.
