From 6 February 2015 until 30 October 2019, Maleeha Lodhi served as Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations as a diplomat, military strategist, and political scientist. She was the position’s first female occupant. She previously served as Pakistan’s envoy to the Court of St James’ and twice as the country’s ambassador to the US.
